The Impact
The film PreDestined provides a glimpse into interpersonal relationships that cross racial, cultural, and sexual walls. It is successful in breaking down the stigmatizations that exist in our society by highlighting the universal issues of finding and maintaining love in an era that tends to place emphasis on differences. Audiences of diverse backgrounds will be able to ‘see’ themselves in this story of love despite challenges. After viewing PreDestined, one is left pondering their personal relationships with a renewed sense of hope regardless of sexuality. It’s a human story about love, adversity, and triumph.
