"PowerCloth 1G" is a light-weight, flexible, foldable and washable solar fabric that can be attached to almost anything to turn that into a 5 Volt charging port.

Motiviation:We receive a tremendous amount of energy every day from sun. If our outfits can somehow convert even a tiny part of that into useful electricity, it will fulfill the electricity needs of all of our electronic gadgets while we are outdoors.

Problem: Traditional solar cells cannot be used for the above task because these cells are brittle and very fragile. As a result, these need to be protected inside metallic frames which make them very heavy. For the application of solar cells in outfits, these cells need to be light weight, flexible and foldable.

How is PowerCloth 1G different from other/similar products?

• PowerCloth 1G is light-weight, weighs less than 3 ounces and is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.
• Flexible, foldable, sturdy and amazingly unique in its self.
• PowerCloth 1G provides an output current of about 700 mA charging your smart electronic devices in just 2-3 hrs.
• PowerCloth 1G is capable of charging a 1800 mAh lithium ion powerpack in 3-4 hrs of sunlight. Using this powerpack, you can charge your gadgets at night and can light a 10 LED lamp for more than 12 hrs.
• Most value added product at a much cheaper price, generating efficient energy for our day to day use.

Another fascinating and unique feature that distinguishes PowerCloth 1G from other contemporary products is that it is washable: just separate the fabric from the photovoltaic element, wash it and then slide the photovoltaic element back into the fabric.
