Polso: Send and receive voice commands from your smartphone.
We’re all dependent on our smartphones. But there are lots of times when it’s just not practical to pick up and operate your phone. You could be driving, running, at a show, in the shower, playing a sport... or, it’s simply out of reach.
The point is, there’s a 4 – 8% time gap when we’re cut-off and unconnected from our phones. For many people, these periods are downright unbearable.
Enter Polso —
Un-phone yourself with Polso.

What’s it for?
Supporting both iPhone and Android devices, Polso can perform most voice-enabled smartphone tasks right from your wrist, up to 30 feet away from your phone. Use Polso to answer calls, send text messages, search the web – nearly any voice command, even if your phone was asleep. If you have an iPhone you can fully operate Siri with Polso, and popular voice command applications are supported for Android users.
Since the water-resistant Polso enables smartphone use even when your phone is not physically accessible, we’re sure you’ll come up with even more creative uses!
Who might use Polso?
Polso (Ital: wrist) is for anyone who owns a smartphone. It is not a geeky tech gadget (although we do love those), it’s a simple to use bluetooth bracelet that connects you to your phone at all times. With just one multifunction button plus volume control, Polso simply sends and relays voice commands to and from your smartphone while it's out of reach. It's extremely simple to use and will make interacting with your voice enabled phone at anytime a breeze. Want to send or read a text? Polso can do that! Want to make a list or send yourself a note? Polso can do that too!
Where are we at?
The prototype in our video is a real, fully-functional Polso. She hasn't been prettied-up yet, but that's in the works. It does connect seamlessly to both iPhone and Android phones, sends and receives information, and does exactly what we want it to do.
We are in the process of upgrading the circuit board so it’s smaller and thinner than the one in our prototype:
We are also working on enhancing the software that runs on Polso to make it more intuitive to use.
Finally, we are planning to develop an open source voice application for Android and iOS that enables third party programmers to intercept voice commands from Polso and use them to drive their own software.
We have partnered a manufacturing and development shop and have the experience and relationships in place to bring Polso to life. Now, we just need your support to make Polso a real product!
Raising our Indiegogo goal will enable us to focus on developing a strong, marketable product. We'll use the investment to improve the prototype and set up full scale production so that Polso can be sold to everyone. We will also use the funds to begin marketing Polso both online and offline. Our goal is to keep the retail price of Polso low, so this funding round enables a larger initial manufacturing batch which will significantly decrease our production cost, savings which we will pass on to our customers.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about Polso. We hope you’ll support Polso at any level.
