This campaign is about something that could happen to anyone. It's about having your health stolen from you at 46 years old, through no fault of your own. It's about working hard in your professional life for the benefit of other people, never asking for anything for yourself. This describes my best friend, Suzanne.
Suzanne was diagnosed with colon cancer last year. She almost died and had to have extensive surgery, including a colostomy. She has had to undergo endless testing and treatment since then and now needs another operation.
Suzanne has no family. She has not been able to work because she is so ill and she has depleted her savings during this long illness paying medical bills and living expenses.
I had posted a campaign last month in an attempt to keep Suzanne in her apartment. The campaign was not successful in raising the money needed to keep her in her apartment, but then a miracle occurred and a neighbor stepped in to make up the difference to pay her rent for December.
Now I am posting, once again, to seek assistance for Suzanne to help to pay her rent & utilities and to buy food for the next few months so she can make it through another surgery. To accomplish this, she needs money to keep her going as the surgery recovery will require a wound vac and 2 months of healing time.
I would appreciate any help you could provide for her and I pray you can help her where I cannot. God bless you and thank you for reading this campaign. I know my friend: she is the most generous person I have ever met. She has given so much of herself to helping others. She works on non-profit projects, such as getting clean water to people who need it. Now it is she that needs the help of others - a strange position for her to be in because she is usually the one doing the helping. Please help my friend make it through this next operation so she can hopefully beat this cancer and get back to the business of doing what she loves the most: helping other people.
Please donate today to help Suzanne stay in her home while she is fighting cancer.
