Synopsis - Your Funded Story
Alex Puissant is 17 years old and is living out his last day on a work ranch for juvenile delinquents. When Beaver, a young and fragile new edition to the ranch arrives, Alex is forced to mentor him. Little does Alex know, he has more in common with Beaver than he initially realizes. Will Alex sacrifice a longer stay on the ranch to help Beaver from a mentally disconnected bully? Or will Alex walk away and enjoy his freedom?

For us, that is a beautiful number to work with. When we see $3,000 available to us, we see a number of fantastic possibilities at our finger tips that most zero budget films never see. But for you, the funder, to better understand the benefit of your dollar, please check out what we're working with and what we need:
Estimated Shooting Days:
10 Days. Stretched out over weekends to work with minor's school time.
Time is money.
8 speaking roles. 20 featured extra roles. --- When it comes to catering. A full crew is a happy crew.
7 Around the Ranch. Donations or renting fees required.
Cannon 7D with steadi-cam rig. --- Donated by a good friend. Thank you Big D!
(Equipment is available through our college but not everything) Batteries, accessories, extra lights, cables, sound accessories, gaffe tape, memory cards, external hard drive.
Gas & Van Rental:
The holy water on set. Since Talent are receiving zero pay, one of the best perks we can try and offer is gas reimbursement if they live outside of the city limits. Also, a van will be rented in order to car pool most of talent and crew to location. This will help: the environment, time, gas price and parking clutter on-location.
If we do not reach our goal, this film will be made! It just won't be made as well as it could be. We only ask that you donate as much as you can to allow us to truly create the story we set out to tell and that YOU be a part of it. Together, we can tell a story.
Even $1.00 will help pay for that one soda, for that one very grateful crew member!
As a perk, any funder who donates from $5 - $25 will receive a personal thank you e-mail with a PDF format of the WGA Registered screenplay of Placed. From there, you can follow our updates and follow the production throughout its entirety if you opt-in for e-mails during the donation process.
With a donation of $25 or over you will receive a physical copy of the screenplay through the United States Post Office, with a personal note from the director and crew! Once again, you can follow the production from beginning to end just by staying tuned to this page and opting in for the personal emails!
