About Pay N Show
It's a brand new application (patent pending) that captures your latest store receipt info and shares images of the products you buy, automatically via social networking platforms such as Facebook, Google+, and many more.
The video in this campaign and on our website - PayNShow.com - is a rendering of how Pay N Show will work and what Pay N Show will look and feel like. After development is complete, the final look and feel will of course be very different (and extremely cool)! We look forward to your feedback.
How Pay N Show Works (Simplified)
Three simple steps:
1) Create a PayNShow account
2) Go shopping at any store you want
3) Ask that your receipt is sent to you by email
That's all! Nothing else.
Now you and your friends will see pictures of what you just bought on your Facebook page or any other social media account you like.
How Pay N Show Works (Detailed)
Just download the PayNShow app to your iPhone or Android phone. Then sign up, create an account, and provide information such as your email address. The email address you provide is the same email address you provide any store when you choose to receive your sales receipt via email.
Now you go to the mall and pick out a new shirt, sweater, and jeans at one of your favorite stores such as Hollister or Guess (for example).
As you check out and make your payment, the choice for how you would like your sales receipt appears on the payment terminal. One of the choices is to receive your receipt via email, so you choose this option.
More and more stores are offering this option since it saves money and is eco-friendly (no more rolls of receipt paper).
Before the images are uploaded to your Facebook account or some other social media platform, you will have the option of allowing the pictures to be uploaded or not. You can choose to allow them to be shared or just keep the receipt and images stored in your PayNShow account.
Almost instantly, PayNShow receives a duplicate of the receipt you requested to be sent via e-mail, then, using special software, looks for the product codes within the receipt, searches the store's website or product database and retrieves pictures related to the product codes (such as those commonly referred to as barcodes, sku, upc, etc.), and then uploads the pictures of all the items you just bought to your Facebook page. Please see demonstration video for more details.
Now when your friends click on any one of the pictures of the products seen on your Facebook page, they will be taken to PayNShow.com. A graphic that looks like a receipt appears with the product codes (ie: barcodes, sku, upc, etc., but no price information), regardless of how you actually paid for the products.
Now, your friends know what you bought. That's not all, they can even load into a shopping basket one or all of the items you bought and ask where online (or offline) they can buy them too . . . and buy them immediately!
First Version of Pay N Show
The first version of Pay N Show will be simple to use, but extremely exciting. We want to make it super easy to learn and use. Any time a new product is introduced, it should be extremely functional, but with a small learning curve, if any at all. In other words, it should be intuitive.
Future Revisions of Pay N Show
Future versions of Pay N Show will include:
- Expanding the number of social media sites PayNShow will
be compatible with
- The option to show the price paid for the items purchased
- The option to show where the products were purchased
- The option for allowing the product pictures to disappear from the user's PayNShow display page after a preset
amount of time (similar effect to SnapChat)
- The ability to customize or alter pictures of the products purchased
If you have a suggestion for a special feature or function you would like for us to incorporate into the next or future revisions of PayNShow, we want to know.
As the oldest of four boys, I immediately discovered my interest in science and wanted to be everything from a veterinarian to an astronaut. Ever since I was a kid, I have been building things, exploring, inventing, and looking at things differently from most people.
Instead of going straight to college out of high school, I joined the military, where I served in the Navy working on fire control electronics.
I love coming up with new ideas and unique solutions for just about anything. My mind is always working and coming up with new ways of doing things. I believe Pay N Show will change the way everyone shares new experiences, and I am extremely excited!
A Dream Come True
This drive is all about making a dream come true. It’s that simple. Having big ideas sometimes means having a big wallet – something neither I, nor my family or friends have. Now that we have crowdfunding, dreams can come true and I hope you will be a part of mine.
Contributors will be funding more than just a dream. You will be a part of something enormous and something that will make a difference.
In today’s world, everything happens so fast. The ability to instantly share what interests us while making life easier, I think is so important. I hope you do too.

Keep an eye on the picture of the Pay N Show team during our campaign. When we reach $100,000.00, an extremely important message will begin to appear. At $200,000.00, the message will become clearer. Then finally, when we reach our goal of $400,000.00, the message will be obvious. Everyone is welcome to offer their guess as to what the message will be, before it appears. For a hint, please contact us.
What We Need And How Your Contribution Will Be Used
Developing the next big thing is not cheap. We need $400K and here’s a breakdown of where your contribution is going:
- All software development including smart phone
applications (for iPhone and android), APIs, and website creation
- Creation of special scripts we will need to develop as we bring aboard new stores and retail chains. Do you have a special store that you love and want to promote? Let us know and maybe you can be the reason they become the next member of Pay N Show.
- Perks costs and shipping
- Indiegogo and credit card fees
If we don’t reach our fundraising goal, we will use all the proceeds we raise to do as much development as we can while we consider another round on Indiegogo or possibly taking a loan for the difference.
Making A Difference
Perhaps you don’t have the ability to contribute money, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help. Please get the word out to all of your friends and family. Tell everyone you can – and don’t forget about the Indiegogo share tools to help do it. Thank you.
I will keep my supporters updated of the progress in development, via email. Once I have reached key milestones, video and picture updates will be sent. I promise to run a transparent campaign, and will share our successes and challenges with my backers.
If I achieve funding by the first of March, the timeline is as follows:
Begin development of all software components of Pay N Show
• July/ August
Test first version of Pay N Show
• August/ September
Launch first version of Pay N Show
My software developers and team are ready to move forward. There are two main challenges. The first is finding the right solution to ensure near perfect reading and recognition of all receipts no matter what they look like or where they are from. We have identified either a single solution or approach that will guarantee almost 100% accurate recognition and reading.
The second challenge is making sure that all users are clear as to which stores have joined and which stores don’t yet offer PayNShow when checking out at the cash register. As we enroll more and more stores, we will share this news to optimize excitement and knowledge of availability while minimizing disappointment.
I will work day and night to deliver an amazing application on, or ahead of time. My belief is to always under promise and over deliver.
