How can you PAW IT FORWARD and directly affect the lives of 3 special needs individuals?!?!  

Hi, my name is Shawn Sherry and I started an organic pet treat business called "The Barkers Dozen". I started this business 3 years ago, with a hope to make healthy dog treats for my pup during the big pet food scare of 2008. Since then we've been able to create 6 different flavors of healthy dog treats, which are made of all organic human grade ingredients. I'm proud to say that we've also been able to pay it forward by hiring special needs individuals to bake and package our treats. Seeing the joy on one employee's face when he got to open his first bank account, or another's excitement when she bought her favorite recliner to watch television, are experiences that I can't even begin to explain. So this is where you come in. We've set a goal of bringing on 3 new flavors, updating our facility to help current staff and hiring 3 new special needs staff members to bake them.  Besides donating, we want you to to all have your hands in the creative pot and come up with a new flavor and name for that flavor (please submit your flavors and names to info@thebarkersdozen.com). The flavor winner will receive 2 pounds worth of their newly named treat. To give you an idea of our current flavors and names, we carry are our "Blueberry Bone-anza", "Sweet Paw-Tato" and "Howlin' Honey Crunch", as well as our Signature Carrot, Chicken and Peanut Butter lines. Now it's up to you to help me make this happen for those individuals in our community that want to be out there working, if they could only be given a chance!
