Welcome to Parkside!

What is this ¨Parkside¨ about anyway? 

Parkside is about you, me and all of us. A comedic drama or a dramatic comedy about a group of people who live or visit Parkside. It lets the spectator take a peek into the lives of the people in Parkside showing that everybody, in there daily live and mundane situations, can be interesting and genuine characters.

When everyone is a character, there's no need for fiction.

We are young, dreamers and creatives. We're currently in the process of gathering the funds we need to pay for the costs of making a movie in Puerto Rico, which is a very hard task to do.

We already have most of the crew, the script and are completing our cast. The hard part is over! Please help us finish our project by contributing to our campaign. With your funds we are planning to finance the filming process of our production. Some of the expenses we will suffice with your help are the following:

- Cast - We want to be able to pay our actors and actresses, because it's not only their talent, it's their job. We believe artists should be payed for their contributions and with your help we will be able to do so.   

- Equipment - A big part of the “look” of a film has to do with illumination. There are some lenses we want to use to enhance the beauty of our takes. 

-Sound - Also, a film needs to be understood, and for that we need to rent sound equipment. By helping us rent this equipment, you are also contributing to strengthen Puerto Rico’s film industry, because we will be fomenting film as a business within the local market. To be able to deliver the best product we can to you, we need to rent the equipment that will elevate the level of our film up to 11. 

- Promo - During and after Parkside is done, comes the challenge of promoting the film around the world. This includes cultural activities, local and international festivals and in movie theatres. We want to be able to distribute the film to everyone!

- Music - This project is 100% independent. As part of our DIY effort, the music for the film will be created by our own crew. Some of our budget will be distributed towards recording the songs needed to give Parkside the livelihood, attractive and diverse look it will ooze.

-Postproduction - We also need your donations for the editing of the film, color correction and audio editing. Three important elements for the success of the film.

- Food - Everyone needs to eat. Filming often takes the entire day without a break. We want to keep our cast and crew fed and hydrated.

This is why we are asking for  $5,000.00.  

We know this business is expensive but we are very sure that, if given the opportunity, we can make a great film.  As time goes on, we will be keeping everyone in track with video updates, our twitter account, instagram and facebook.  Parkside will keep you in-the-know!

We want to be able to prove that Puerto Rico can make great cinema. Parkside will enrich our own film industry and follow the footsteps of great independent films from the past. We have created other projects which you can access on the following links:

Qué es Parkside?

Parkside es sobre ti, sobre mí y sobre todos. Es un drama cómico o una comedia dramática sobre un grupo de personas que viven o visitan Parkside. Le permite al espectador echarle un vistazo a la vida de las personas del condominio demostrando como todo el mundo, en su diario vivir y en su vida cotidiana, puede ser un personaje interesante y genuino.

Lema de la película: Cuando todo el mundo es un personaje, no se necesita la ficción.


Somos un grupo de jóvenes creativos y soñadores. Al momento, estamos en el proceso de reunir los fondos que necesitamos para pagar los costos de hacer una película independiente en Puerto Rico, una labor muy difícil.

Ya tenemos la mayoría del “crew” principal, el guión y estamos completando el elenco. ¡La parte más difícil ya se acabo! Por favor ayúdanos a completar nuestro proyecto contribuyendo a nuestra campaña. Utilizaremos los fondos que nos otorguen para terminar el proceso de filmación de nuestra producción. Algunos de los gastos que vamos a cubrir con este dinero son los siguientes:


Elenco – Queremos poder pagarle a los actores y actrices que sean parte de Parkside. No sólo por su talento, pero también porque este es su trabajo. Creemos que los artistas deben de ser renumerados por sus contribuciones y con tu ayuda podremos hacerlo.



Equipo – Gran parte de el “look” de una película tiene que ver con la iluminación. A su vez, hay algunos lentes que queremos utilizar para poder hacer de nuestras tomas las más hermosas. 



Sonido - También, una película se tiene que escuchar bien. Para obtener el mejor sonido posible necesitamos rentar equipo de sonido profesional. 



Promo - Durante y luego de que Parkside esté completada, tenemos que enfrentarnos al reto de promover la película alrededor del mundo. Esto incluye eventos culturales, festivales de cine local e internacional y cines comerciales. Queremos nuestra película pueda ser disfrutada por todos. 



Música- Este proyecto es 100% independiente. Como parte de nuestro esfuerzo por hacer todo nosotros mismos, la música de nuestro filme será creada por el mismo “crew”. Parte de nuestros fondos irán hacia grabar la música que se usará durante la película para hacer que Parkside pueda tener ese toque de vida, atractivo y diversidad que estamos buscando.

Postproducción- También necesitamos sus donaciones para la edición de la película, edición de colores y edición de sonido. Tres  elementos muy importantes para el logro de la película.  

Comida – Todo el mundo tiene que comer. Grabar una película muchas veces toma días completos sin descansos. Necesitamos mantener a nuestro equipo y a nuestro elenco bien alimentados e hidratados.

Son estas las razones por las cuales estamos pidiendo $5,000.00
Sabemos que esta industria es cara, pero estamos muy seguros, dada la oportunidad, podemos hacer una gran película.


A cambio de sus donaciones le ofrecemos una variedad de recompensas. Entre ellas “stickers”, “pins”, camisas, “ringtones” hechos para la película, peluches, descargas digitales de la película y la música hecha específicamente para la película. Mientras pase el tiempo, estaremos manteniendo a todo el mundo con noticias y avances del progreso de la filmación utilizando videos, nuestra cuenta de twitter, instagram y facebook.
