I am a young guy from Brazil, since I was a child I dreamed about making games, and now I am trying to bring this to reality, Paddle Wars: Hit The Wall is my first stab into game creation business, business because I need the money to leave my parents home, and more importantly, leave my very violent and corrupt country, to a place where I don't have to worry about my life every day, and thus a place where I can work to make even better games.
Plainly, if the project succeed, there will be a new game for Mac gamers, I think that is very sad that they are ignored by Windows game companies, because I think that everyone should play games, we are homo ludens after all.
Of course, I have to face that the project may fail, if that happen, in the best case, Mac gamers will have to play the game with wine. In the worst case of me turning out loss, I will go bankrupt (I took some loans to pay for my education and for this game project), and I will not be able to flee my country (although Brazillians are not usually considered refugees by other countries, there are some cities here where more people die daily than in Iraq, this is why I use the word flee).
What We Need & What You Get
The game actually is mostly done, but for Windows and GNU/Linux. I don't own a Mac, thus I don't have the necessary tools to make a Mac version (like compiler, icon editor, packaging, etc...), so the money is to buy a Mac.
As soon as I get a Mac, I will work to release Mac versions of the game.
If I don't ever get money for the Mac, I will spend it with music for the game.
If I get more money than needed, it will go to music too (music is very important in games, movies and other media, without music they are boring).
The money won't be used to pay my debts or my food, those will be paid by game expansion pack sales (or by something else... dunno).
Other Ways You Can Help
You can help me by making the game popular, like... Minecraft. Talk to others, ask them to play the game, to see the trailer, comment, whatever... Use the sharing tools of this site, visit us on twitter, facebook, steam, blog, irc, etc...
But if you are unsure, just follow us on twitter and on feedburner (blog.agfgames.com).
