I've set up this campaign to raise a completion fund for my short film Out of Order.
Out of Order tells the story of how geeky Josh and shy Lily meet in a laundromat late at night. They immediately fall for each other but overwhelmed by social awkwardness they have difficulty communicating. Only when a faulty washing machine attempts to swallow them whole are they propelled into an extraordinary experience that will bring them closer together.
The film has already been shot and edited. Take a look at a short clip from the film above. It was financed independently and a few test screenings have produced good feedback. I would like to enhance the film's quality through the best post-production process possible. This entails Foley recording, additional dialogue recording (ADR) and a complete stereo mix tested in a local cinema. Your pledge will contribute to all the above as well as the printing of flyers, posters and DVD copies to promote the film at venues and festivals.
In return for your generosity you will receive a copy of the film.
This is a flexible campaign which means we will receive all funds pledged even if we don't reach our goal. This approach suits the project very well as it will hugely benefit from any amount raised at this stage.
Unlike most crowd-funding projects, the concern of not getting the project off the ground or seeing it through to the end is not applicable in this case. The film is already in the can and in it's final stages but it does require an extra push just to make it that little bit special.
For those interested in the technical specs, the film was shot on the RED Epic at a 5K resolution and graded in DaVinci Resolve.
If you are unable to contribute towards the project but would still like to show your support you can really help us out by sharing the campaign on your social networking accounts such as twitter and facebook.
Any questions regarding the project please do get in touch.
