OUIJA MOVIE 'I Am ZoZo' - Help us put it out!

After two years of planning and shooting, our Ouija movie is finally almost done!  Join us in releasing our 'I Am ZoZo' for the world to see.

We want to prove that a small company with a lot of energy and support can not only produce original and entertaining feature films like I Am ZoZo, but also get them out into theaters for all to see.  Your contribution will directly make this a reality!

Who We Are:  

We are filmmakers in Los Angeles and have been making and distributing our award-winning documentaries worldwide completely independently for the past eight years.  We literally made our first film with a stack of credit cards and a dream and our supporters have kept us going ever since.  Stories about our innovative indie marketing and distribution strategies have been published in places such as IndieWire, Sundance.org, Marketing Pilgrim, and many others.

What the film is about:

I Am ZoZo is about five young people who play with a Ouija board and attract the attention of the malevolent demon ZoZo. The film is based on widely reported real experiences with this ancient and malevolent spirit that attaches itself to people exclusively through Ouija boards. Shot on location during Halloween on San Juan Island, WA and filmed entirely on Super 8mm. Yes, Super 8mm!

What we'll do with your support:

Create a multi-city theatrical release followed by a release of the DVD and Blu-ray.  Theaters in Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago are all ready to go, with more on the way.  If we succeed with this campaign, we will be able to show the film in at least five cities and get a proper home video release.  It costs money to rent theaters and do a real PR effort so theaters will program the film and that's how you're helping us.  Most of the revenue for indie films these days comes from VIDEO ON DEMAND.  We have secured a promising VOD release and are now in the process of carving out DVD, iTunes, Netflix and TV sales, but also need to get a LIMITED THEATRICAL RUN in order to best promote the movie (in the press, talk shows, etc.)

We need to put the movie in a few theaters because ideally, we want this movie not just on VOD and digital platforms but ALSO in movie theaters.  We know that if we can just start the snowball, with your help, things will really get rolling for the film.

What makes I Am ZoZo so special?

Ouija Movie - When we conceived of the concept for I Am ZoZo we felt that it had been a while since there was a truly scary Ouija movie and the topic was due for a fresh and serious take.

ZoZo - ZoZo is real.  Just Google it and you'll see what we mean.  People have been reporting for years that a demon had been following them through Ouija boards and ruining their lives.  I Am ZoZo is based on these true accounts.  If you have any real Ouija experiences, please post them in the comments!

Super 8mm! - To give I Am ZoZo its unique look, we shot the entire film on Super 8mm!  As far as we know, it's the most Super 8mm ever shot for one feature film.  The entire process of shooting with rebuilt vintage cameras was fascinating, challenging, and the results are astounding.  For this reason alone, I Am ZoZo is already making history.  It deserves to be seen...and with your help it will be!
