As student film-makers, "Oh, Fork!" is our final production until we become industry professionals. Our team consists of aspiring Producers, Directors, Writers, Cinematographers, Editors, and Sound Engineers. Our crew consists of several graduating students, as well as incoming freshmen.
Though we are students, every single one of us has already written, directed, and edited our own short film. Some of us have professional experience as well. All of our crew members have gone through an extensive and rigorous hiring process, ensuring that only the best are working on our film.
Oh Fork's Story:
Tristan and Myra are a couple very much in love. Unfortunately, Myra’s parents are from Brazil, and speak little to no English. With one night to show them that he is worthy of their daughter, he tries to wine and dine his potential in-laws before Myra makes it to the restaurant. Tristan shortly discovers that he has a lot more than a language barrier to contend with.
Where the Money Goes:
A lot goes into a film: sets, props, catering, permits, etc. What those things require is MONEY. We are provided a small budget, but to make Oh, Fork! the best that it can be, any dollar donated will help us greatly. Get one of our many perks - a DVD copy, our guide to brazilian etiquette, even a guidebook on impressing the parents! Your money will get us the best equipment, make our set look gorgeous, and help feed our cast and crew. Donate a little or a lot! Any little bit helps.

The Restaurant Staff:
Winston Linn: Producer
Growing up in the woods outside a town of 700, Winston worked for his parents' business at an early age. It has given him a very strong work ethic and a sense of responsibility. He brings it onto everything he does. He is equal parts proud and excited to be the producer of this film, and looks forward to the challenges and rewards of working with the best crew around!
Robert A-Wood: Director
Robert started making films during High School in North Wales, UK and went onto college for two years to study filmmaking. He is currently a student at Tribeca Flashpoint in Chicago. Robert has worked extensively in theatre, and has written and directed many short film projects since his time at Flashpoint, and looks forward to directing Oh, Fork!
Tyler Cosich: Writer
Tyler attended Indiana University and attained a bachelor’s degree in Television Design and Production in May 2010. He enrolled at Tribeca Flashpoint Academy in 2011. He was inspired to write Oh Fork by a real life experience where he and his brother Tory spent an evening attempting to wine and dine Tory’s Brazilian in-laws, with no knowledge of Portuguese or Brazilian culture. Tyler hopes to pursue an internship or job opportunity that will ultimately lead to a screenwriting job, whether it be in television production, film or media.
Sarah Giroux: Director of Photography
Sarah Giroux is our Director Of Photography for “Oh Fork!”. She specializes in making the story come to life with lights and a camera. She felt an instant connection to this script, having dealt with various language barriers while studying in Finland. She can't wait to work with our exceptional cast and crew.
Alyssa Venetucci: Editor
When Alyssa Venetucci discovered editing software, her world screeched to a halt. “Now I can film scenes out of order? Now I can CUT STUFF OUT?!” Needless to say, she’s been addicted ever since. Alyssa is thankful to be working on such a funny script, accompanied by a talented crew. She can’t wait to cut Oh Fork! into the best short film it can be!
Don-John Head: Audio
Don is part of the audio team that will be working with Lauren Gallerani and Brian Hennigan. From the score to the dialogue, they will make this film sound as great as the rest of the crew makes it look. With years of experience playing and recording music, Don has fallen in love with the sound in films and the production process that goes into them. Don is dedicated and driven, working toward a career in the field of audio production.
