Our Story

We are a group of aspiring student filmmakers coming together to create a ten-minute short film titled "Not So Surefire". A short black and white film about a man, Harold, trapped in a downward life spiral, a proverbial lost soul. Deep in debt to the wrong man, he has a fail-safe bet that will alleviate his problems. Letting it all ride with hopes of once again being able to live within his own skin.

With obstacles hindering his path, will he be able to place a bet in time?

This film intends to be a great character study that pays homage to Hollywood’s roots while also embracing modern cinema.

The Impact

While we have made other films in the past, this is our first major production, and we want it to be the best it can possibly be. All of us have different paths we want to take in the industry. Directing, producing, writing, cinematography, editing, set design, assistant directing, you name it we're passionate about it. Putting out an amazing product will not only increase our portfolios but also our skill-sets. We are the next generation of filmmakers; help us reach our full potential!

What We Need & What You Get

We need what every movie needs: lots of help, and lots of good luck. If you can donate money and help us fund our project, that's fantastic! No amount is too small. And there's numerous perks to you for contributing!

If you have or know of a location or set that would look great for a black and white film set in the early 1900s, that's awesome! Talk to us and see if we can film there. We promise you'll have a good time making movies with us, and it will all go back to normal when we finish.

If you want to be an extra and have a costume that fits with the period, let us know and you could end up on-screen and a full acting credit!

While this movie is not for profit, rest assured that we will be screening it wherever and whenever we can. Enjoy seeing something you put work into projected live to an audience? Then come help us make this movie!

And whatever you do, talk about us to your friends, family, colleagues, strangers on the street, in person and online! We want to get the word out about our project. Be part of the social experience that is making movies.
