Night Drop is a classic spy vs. spy action short that follows two life long rivals as they attempt to pull off the perfect heist. Danny, the underdog, has finally chosen the place to pull off the heist of his dreams. However, Mark, his cocky life long but equally skilled nemsis, shows up to ruin his plans yet again. The two bicker back and forth only to have their ego thwart their plans as they are hounded by the bank's security officer. They reluctantly realize they must put their big heads aside and their skill sets together to get the big payoff.
Why I need your help.
I feel that the funding for this project is very reasonable. The minimum budget for this is right around $2500. But to make it the best that I can possibly make it, my goal is $3000. With a crew of 12, plus cast and extras all of the food, lodging, and transportation can get expensive. That's where a little over half the budget is going towards. We also have equipment and rental fees, as well as set design and props to pay for. The planned budget includes set design and props that are required for filming. However, to give the film an authentic feel and a more realistic look, any extra money will go directly into set and props. Any money that is left over after production will be put towards sending the film to festivals. The more money we make, the more festivals we can enter, which is always nice.
This is my senior film. I've been working towards this for a very long time now. I will not make any money on this. Not one cent. I'm very passionate about this project and feel very strongly that it is my best work by far. With your help, we can make a great film for just about anyone.
Also, filming starts January 30th and wraps February 3rd. The film will be shot on location in Alton, IL and St. Louis, MO.
A little bit about myself.
My name is Nathan Huber and I'm a student filmmaker. I'm currently in my final year pursuing a BA in Film Production at Webster University in St. Louis, MO. This will be my senior film. My calling card, per se.
I've also attended Maryville Unversity in St. Louis, MO, earning a BS in Business and feel that it gives me an edge when it comes to the financial planning and logistical side of filmmaking.
