Story Book Farm Primate Sanctuary is a sanctuary which provides a permanent home for primates retiring from biomedical research, zoos, universities, pet stores, and private residences.
In the New Year 2013, we will be receiving 2 more rhesus macaques from a biomedical research laboratory in Canada. Biomedical research with primates is still an active form of research in Canada, and we are very happy to work with labs that contact us wanting to do right by these animals once they have fulfilled their use to the researchers.
We are so happy to be receiving these girls, and want to do everything we can to make their transition as smooth as possible. Hopefully we can make them feel loved, enrich their lives, and give them the Story Book ending that they deserve.
Please help us to help these beautiful souls. A new beginning for them indeed!
What We Need & What You Get
Your donation goes directly into helping all of our residents by helping to provide for food, straw, hay, infrastructure expansion as well as enrichment items.
Enrichment items come in many forms: toys, food and environmental enrichment. They provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation and the monkeys just love to see what they got in their packages.
No donation amount is too small, every little bit helps! :)
