New Author Initiative

New Vision Publishing Inc. is a non profit full service publishing house based in Columbus, Ohio. We provide graphic design, photography and publishing services to our clients. Our goal with this campaign is to fund the publication of new African American authors first, and then expand to include all new unpublished authors who have a voice they wish to be heard.

The funds we raise through this campaign will be used to:

1. Offset publishing costs for new authors.

2. Establish a mentoring program to instruct new authors on getting published

3. Increase advertising outreach to inform the public about the new initiative

4. Upgrade and purchase new computer equipment to take advantage of e-book technology

5 Add part time staff.

We at New Vision Inc. are aware of the challenges of the new publishing environment. We are also aware of the problems in getting published at the major publishing houses. In the current publishing environment an unknown author struggles to get his work to market because the major publishing houses cater to celebrities based on name recognition alone. New authors are being forced out of the marketplace because of the frustration and the financial difficulties of not getting published. New Vision Publishing Inc. intends to be the life preserver of the new authors who have all but given up their dream of getting published.
