Why Are We Doing This?
After forming in 1999, touring, and releasing records until 2007 we kind of cooled things off in 2008 after the release of our last album. We played on and off in Israel from 2007-2010, but not with much frequency. We took a long break between 2010-2012. We recently played a couple of shows and realized how much we missed playing together, and how much we love our fan base. It became clear to us that it was time for us to make another album for both ourselves and the people that made it all possible all along.
It's simple. We've been part of the music industry for quite sometime, including stints with several labels. We are now out of it. For us, the bottom line is that music is something made possible by the fans. We've had great people walking with us for years, and we feel that the support we get at shows, along with the facebook messages, and just friends asking us on the street what we will be doing next, is not something we can ignore.
You guys make it possible,as you gave us the drive for years. Support us again so we can put out the best album we possibly can.
Our History in Short:
Man Alive started in Jerusalem , Israel in 1999. The band quickly gained popularity in the local Israeli punk scene. In 2002 after releasing the "Overwhelmed EP", and 2 full lengths (2001's Foreign Concepts, and 2002's Work in Progress) we decided we felt confident enough in our music to take the show on the road. We toured North America and Europe from 2002 to 2007 with a vengeance. During that time we signed with The Militia Group and released our third full length (2005's Open Surgery). We continued to tour and were privelaged enough to share the stage with some great bands that also became great friends, including stints on 2006 Take Action Tour and Warped Tour. During the summer of 06 we recorded 2006's "Access Denied" EP and our last full length to date (2007's Sef-Titled), which very much symolized the end of our career as touring musicians. Jamie(our lead vocalist) and Yair(drums) both ended up in trouble with the US authorities for touring without proper documents, including tax forms. They were both traveling back to the US so we could start our Fall tour with Silverstein and Aiden. These events eventually turned out for the best as we all started the next chapter of our lives. Jamie has been busy puruing his passion for worship music , along with working on his MA in Theology. David(Guitar/Vox) has been busy raising a family and finishing his BA in Archeology. Yair has been busy completing his MA in psychology. I(Jon/Bass) have been busy furthering my career in internet start-up management.

If We don't Reach Our Funding Target?
