... the "MyzharBot Project"
MyzharBot will be your personal robot. You will be able to speak to it and it will recognize you and it will reply to your vocal commands.
MyzharBot will be a full autonomous robot, but you will be able to control/monitor it by your smartphone/tablet (Android, iOS and Windows) via WiFi, bluetooth and remotely by Internet.

MyzharBot's prototype is actually under developing. You can see a few of videos made during preliminar tests on Myzhar's channel on YouTube.

The chassis is defined and a first project is ready, but a few modifications must be studied to let it be more robust and let the hardware be well suited.
A lot of work must be done on the software side. Linux system must be configurated and MyzharBot software must evolve such to include Artificial Intelligence. The software framework will be based on ROS, a Robotic Framework developed by WillowGarage.
Computer Vision processing will be based on OpenCV library, the most complete and performat Computer Vision Library available. I love it!
The Control Unit (GUI) is ready for Desktop PC and must be ported to mobile platforms.

Draft MyzharBot's Architecture
Funding 80$: MyzharBot will receive a website dedicated exclusively to the phases of its creation
Funding 150$: new laser cutted chassis. The new chassis will be 4mm tick instead of the current 3mm
Funding 300$: new aluminum reinforcements will be designed and manufactured by a CNC service
Funding 500$: obstacle sensors (bumpers, sonars, ir) will be selected, acquired and tested
Funding 1000$: embedded Linux Ubuntu based Operating system will be released on MyzharBot's site
Funding 1500$: Computer Vision algorithms will be released based on a webcam sensor: people detection, people recognition, road detection and so on
Funding 2000$: webcam will be replaced by an Asus Xtion Pro Live such to have 2D and 3D perception, computer vision algorithms will be enhanced by 3D elaboration based on PointCloud Library (PCL) (maybe that a second linux embedded board will be added to perform such elaborations)
Funding 3000$: vocal system will be developed including speech recognition and voice synthesizer
Funding 5000$: Android GUI will be developed
Funding 6000$: iOS GUI will be developed
Funding 8000$: the whole MyzharBot's system will be released as an open project with a complete documentation for each of the developed module
