Mystery and Melancholy of a Building is a short film by Brandon Rowe made for the Intermediate Experimental Production class at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.
The film focuses on two people whose yearnings for a promise from the city cross paths. One is an artist returning to a building closely linked to a dear and poignant moment from his past, attempting to be taken back to that scene in this changed and changing city. The other is the waitress of a desolate cafe across the street, trying to find some company from the preoccupied artist.
