Mystery and Melancholy of a Building

An NYU student film exploring one artist's struggle to relive his past.

Story

Mystery and Melancholy of a Building is a short film by Brandon Rowe made for the Intermediate Experimental Production class at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts.

The film focuses on two people whose yearnings for a promise from the city cross paths.  One is an artist returning to a building closely linked to a dear and poignant moment from his past, attempting to be taken back to that scene in this changed and changing city.  The other is the waitress of a desolate cafe across the street, trying to find some company from the preoccupied artist.

What We Need

Even though we have already shot the film, we still need your help.  In order to finish this film, we have to raise enough money to cover both post-production costs and a portion of production costs.

Production:

Food - $150

Transportation - $100

Camera - $100

Props - $150

Post-Production:

Digital Storage/Services - $200

Festival Fees - $200

Your donations would allow us to cover these production expenses so we will be able to send Mystery and Melancholy to film festivals.  Our goal is to take the film as far as we can, but in order to do that we will need your support!

Other Ways You Can Help
