My Senior Year is a romantic comedy mixed with dramatic elements. The story is about a semi driver's son entering school for the first time. The film starts off as a comedy and takes a sharp turn into a drama. The main character's dad dies after a heart attack. After being guilt driven and feeling like it's his fault, he contemplates suicide. After finding the inner strength to get pass the suicidal feelings, he decides to strive to make his dad proud.
This film touches on many important issues in today's world. Such as kids dealing with their parents divorce, relationship abuse, and teenage suicide. Suicide among teenagers is one of the top causes of death. Having dealt with this issue personally, knowing a few people that have taken their own life, the goal of this film is to hopefully save lives. I have my A.S. and B.S. degree in filmmaking. I have made over 25 short films, have been nominated 8 times (Winning twice) for a Student Upper Midwest Emmy, as well as winning a 48 hour film festival in Wisconsin. I listed a link that was written about me.
All the proceeds of this campaign will go to the film, covering equipment, crew, and actors cost. The video listed is the cinematographers latest feature. Kevin Horn, is one of the most talented up and coming cinematographers in the Midwest. Since making a feature film is very expensive we need to get close to our goal for this film to become reality. Please donate, anything helps, God bless!
There is a fundraiser event at Saint Anthony Main Theatre July 15th at 430pm. This will be a premiere of my documentary Second Chance U. All proceeds go to My Senior Year!
