MR DAN INSANE - DISTURBED

Hey there!
My name is Alon Dan, I'm an animator and a music producer at Krazy Kartoons Studios.

Since I remember myself I always wanted to make cartoons and music.
The thing is that I've never learned it in a super special school or anything... So when I grew up I decided to just... Learn by doing it :)

During the past three years I produced the animated series "Mr Dan insane" on YouTube in my spare time. Since most of the time I work on clients projects, I don't get much time to produce my own materials. I think it's the time to make this short film!

What do you want to do?

My goal is to produce my very first "ONE MAN PRODUCTION" short film based on the series "Mr Dan Insane". 

What is the short film about?

The short film will tell the story behind the world of Mr Dan Insane as a character and about the world he created. It will also show the very first character he created (As known as: "Triple M" or "THE FIRST")  which is not an ordinary character...

Inside Mr Dan Insane's head... What is Real? What is Fictional? What if it's all mixed up together? When Insanity comes to visit you can't run away anymore but you can join the journey!

Is it a fictional film?

YES! The short film will be focused more on the Horror, Scary part of the "Mr Dan Insane" world and will let the viewers learn more details behind some of the characters of the series.

Where does your money go?

A Frame-by-Frame classic animation takes a long time to produce. In-order to work on this short film I will have to take a break from my day job at the studio for a while and focus only on the production of the film. Starting with: Script, Storyboards, Animatics, Original soundtrack, voice acting sessions, Real-Life footage sessions, Editing, Mixing, Mastering, etc.. (The list is longer than it seems)

• Gear for filming some real-life footage scenes.
• Pay the costs for filming sessions (Food/Props/Service etc..).
• Upgrade hardware and software for the production.
• Equipment rental (higher funding = potential to buy some of it).
• Staff costs for the real-footage scenes (makeup, lighting, camera-man, boom-man, extras if needed and so on..).
• Submitting to film festivals around the world.
• Production and handling costs for the rewards.
• Working nonstop as a ONE MAN PRODUCTION workflow (more bellow).

What does A "ONE-MAN-PRODUCTION" means exactly?

Instead of renting our studio or any other studio and pay lots of money, 
I chose to do most of the jobs that a full studio is usually needed for.
I will do it all by myself just like I produced the original series for the last 3 years:

1. Writer, Director, Producer.
2. Storyboards Artist.
3. Lead Animator, Key-Animator, In-Between-Animator.
4. Compositing, Animating Special Effects, Editing.
5. Music Composer and Sound Designer.
6. Voice Actors (Mostly by me and maybe extra guests).
7. Acting (Me and maybe extra guests).

And the lists goes on...

FAQ's

1 - When will the Film be released?
After the campaign is done, We will begin the pre-production stage and move on to the production (filming) and than of course the post production.

Right after the film is completed we will send it to Film Festivals around the world and only than we will be able to release it to the public.
We will keep on updating this campaign page so stay tuned.

2 - Where will the Film appear?
Eventually, it will be showed on the official YouTube channel: "Mr Dan Insane".

3 - When will I receive my reward?
Some of the Rewards will be prepared and handled during the pre-production stage, (Posters, Limited Edition Cards) and others after the film will be completed.

4 - What is a Digital Download?
A Digital is a file which you can download and view on your computer.

5 - What happens if the reward above mine is already sold out?
If the reward above yours is still available once the campaign is over, You will receive it.

6 - Is there anything special I need to know about specific rewards?
Some rewards will require additional contact between us via email such as:

Your full name, Logo or Website address. (for the credits and Sponsorship) and A high quality photo of you for visual rewards that will appear in the film itself.
