We have been making a series of videos that focus on the mass arrest and systematic brutalisation of children by the authorities in Egypt – they are being collected here:
Four of the Mosireen team are down in Naga Hamady right now giving a three day workshop on video production.

We’ve been working round the clock on two fronts for the last few weeks: the illegitimate constitution that is currently being pushed through a referendum, and the Muslim Brotherhood’s attack on the sit-in at the Presidential Palace.
This blog post pulls together video evidence and testimonies about the violence at the palace: http://tinyurl.com/d9e2lua
This playlist collects interviews with several experts on why the constitution is illegitimate and why it needs to be resisted: http://tinyurl.com/crer25c
We’ve released 42 videos in the last three weeks which have got over 1,000,000 views. But we always need help spreading the information, so please keep sharing.

Tahsin is a village that hasn’t received any services from the Egyptian government since 1964 – and so recently declared themselves to be independent.
We went and talked to them.

WE MADE IT!
There aren’t enough ways to say thank you to you all. To be supported by 353 individuals who care about the work is a unique position to be in. The messages of support that have been written on this wall are beyond moving – and we have all been inspired to work doubly hard over the coming months (and years).
We’re all bound together in a network now – another great advantage of this method of fundraising – and so will keep you informed with important news about our work.
If you’re in Cairo, please come and hang out with us more, come get involved – we’re a collective with an open structure that depends on people with energy and initiative. If you’re not in Cairo, drop us a line if you want to work together on anything – as our fight obviously stretches beyond national borders.
We’re so grateful to have you all as our network of friends and supporters and this money will keep us burning until next summer. By which time, we will have launched a membership initiative to keep us sustainable long-term.
What else? That’s it for now. Stay tuned for more videos, more workshops, more screenings (inside and in the street) and a shiny new archive system. You’ve made it all possible.
Thank you,
Omar
