About the Film:
Mind Over Matter is a short film written by Evan Graveel, a student at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, during his first semester. Sadly, Evan passed away on the morning of February 20th at age 19, after a long battle with cancer and before he was able to produce this script.
My classmates and I have committed ourselves to producing Evan’s script in his memory. Our goal is to take his film to as many film festivals as possible in order to gain the exposure and recognition Evan deserved. We also would like to make this film for his family and friends who were no doubt aware of Evan’s talents but perhaps were never able to see his visions come to life.
Film Synopsis:
Mind Over Matter is a short film about a young man, named Jack, who possesses the power to make people see what he wants them to see. He projects images into other people’s minds and uses this ability for personal gain and to overcome obstacles throughout the film. As Jack shows us throughout the film, along with a shocking twist, things aren’t always as they seem to be.
