Michigan Rock N Brew Music and Beer Festival
The first annual Michigan Rock N Brew Music and Beer Festival takes place on August 4th and 5th in Downtown Lansing at Adado Riverfront Park. Michigan Rock N Brew is our state’s first stand-alone music festival that exclusively features Michigan Microbrew beer! The festival features music from 26 national and regional acts, great local food vendors, and afterparty performances at local venues. This year’s festival includes:
- National Headliners like Helmet, The Toadies, and Tyler Bryant and the Shakedown!
- Regional performances by great acts like The Hard Lessons, Delilah DeWylde, Left Lane Cruiser, Bear Lake, Dirty Americans, The Muggs, Stikyfut, The MacPodz, Funktion, The Skies Revolt, and more!
- Upcoming national acts like Ume from Austin Texas and Jump Start Your Heart from Nashville!
- Michigan Microbrews provided by breweries like Founders, Bells, New Holland, Brewery Vivant, Arbor Brewing, and Keweenaw Brewing Company!
- Affordable prices for food and beer at a festival! $6 full 16 oz pints for Michigan Microbrews!
What We Need & What You Get
We are looking to raise money to pay for a third stage, along with the sound and lights. Our budget only allows for our 2 stage setup, and we’re fully booked but have demand to add the third stage. We plan on booking mostly Lansing based bands with the additional 13 slots a third stage would provide. Our goal is $10,000+, but if we bring in less donations, depending on how much, we can still get a third stage, but a smaller one. This is a great way to buy your Rock N Brew tickets at a discount before the event, and help support local music to get a bigger role at our festival! Any money raised in excess of $10,000 will go to more features to make this year’s festival that much cooler for you all! So if we meet our goal, buy your tickets through our IndieGoGo campaign (and save some money) and help spread the word about Rock N Brew!
Funders get perks such as tickets to the event, posters, shirts, stickers, and other cool swag for supporting us! Check out the perks along the side and donate where you are comfortable! Even a $10 or $15 donation for a shirt or a poster pack helps us get to our goal if you can’t be at the Festival.
We are going to perform a Positive Change in Lansing. Do you want to be a part of that Change?
People are ready for positive change in Greater Lansing. They are hungry for it, they are waiting for it, and more importantly, they are looking for someone to lead by example on how to enact that positive change. With a growing downtown and a youthful population that has struggled in economic turmoil with their backs to the wall, the people of Greater Lansing desire to make our city a great transformative community like Austin, Texas, Portland, Oregon, and even Grand Rapids, Michigan. Each of these cities reached a tipping point, a culmination of events that began a progressive path to make these America’s leaders and trendsetters even among much bigger cities. As an annual festival Michigan Rock N Brew is poised to be a part of that tipping point for Lansing, so that 10 years from now, some of America’s youth and hopeful will say, “I’m moving to Lansing, Michigan, some of my friends already have, and they say that town is turning into something amazing.”
By donating and helping spread the word, you help Lansing become a cooler place, and add another feather in the cap of great local festivals like Common Ground, Festival of the Moon & Sun, and the East Lansing Folk Festival.
Not in a position to donate?
You can still help us to spread the word by posting our campaign on your Twitter or Facebook account. Talk to your friends in person and let them know about our campaign. If you have connections to any potentially interested sponsors, have them contact our Sponsor Coordinator Greg Day at Greg@MichiganRockNBrew.com so we can get them the exposure of all our adoring attendees.
Remember, this festival is a 21+ up event, so if you purchase a ticket through your donation, you must be 21 years or older to enter the festival. It's a beer festival for peet's sake ;)
Thank you for taking the time to consider our campaign! Please help spread the word!
