Short Summary

Hello!  Okay, fine, I'll admit that my pitch video could have had a lot more "whiz, BANG, POW!" to it, but the editor I usually use is out of town, and I wanted to get this out! 

My name is Nathan Smith Jones and I've been an independent filmmaker for over 10 years, and I've been a screenwriter for over 14 years.  My last feature was purchased by Netflix.  I'm partnering with Jorge Ramirez, a veteran of the Mexican film industry, to make the FIRST MOVIE ABOUT A SINGLE, HISPANIC LDS CHRISTIAN WOMAN!  Never before have the stories of Hispanic, LDS Christian Women been told on film, but that changes with THIS MOVIE.

What your contribution will help us achieve is the ability for all stories and voices to be shared and recognized in the world of Independent cinema. 

What We Need & What You Get

What we need is $15,000 to make the movie minimu, and though we can get some of it from other sources, we're looking to you to help us get it done.

Though at first glance it might not seem that $15,000 is enough to make a movie, keep in mind that 'Paranormal Activity' had the same production budget, and ended up grossing well over $130 million in theaters alone.

If 100 people give $50, we'll be very close to our minimum goal.  And even if we don't reach the minimum goal, every little bit helps.  The money will still be used to give small stipends to our actors who work so hard, but on a micro-budgeted movie like this, we squeeze every ounce of worth our of every penny of every dollar, so you can rest assured that your money is going to actually making the movie.

Every little bit helps, and that's why we're so glad to offer everyone a chance to be a part of this movie.  $15 will get you a copy of the completed DVD when it's done, $25 will get you a DVD and a signed poster of the film, $50 will get you what was mentioned before, but also your name in the credits as an associate producer.

The Impact

No one in the world has ever made a film about an LDS Latina and what she goes through as a single woman in the world.  THIS IS THE FIRST!  This will mean a lot not only to LDS Christians, but it will mean a lot to the independent film world in general.  Film is becoming more and more a niche industry as film production costs get lower and lower due to the technology available. 

Jorge Ramirez has been a producer of Latino Film product for many years now and he understands the business and the audience.  Nathan Smith Jones has written and produced films for over 12 years, and his latest feature film was purchased by Netflix and Blockbuster.  We are experienced filmmakers and we want you to join us.  This is a relationship business and this is your chance to jump onto a moving train that's heading for great things and will go to markets all over Latin America!
