Guenivere and Johnny Cash
Johnny Cash was abandoned right before Hurricane Sandy hit, and Guenivere was found abandoned in a parking lot shortly after. Johnny is between 1 and 2 years old, while Gwen is around 6 months. Both need a vet checkup, shots, disease and parasite testing, and spay/neuters. In addition, the cost of food and litter needs to be covered until they are adopted.
I am a cat lover who fell accidentally into trying to rescue and rehome these two loveable kitties. I really want to help them, but rehoming them is proving to be difficult until they are spayed/neutered, and have their shots up-to-date. All the shelters in my area have very long waiting lists, and the costs of keeping up with kibble and litter is catching up to me.
What I need funding for:
Both cats need:
- distemper shots and boosters
- rabies shots
- feline leukemia and FIV tests
- worm medications
- ear mite medications
- flea medications
- cost of checkups
- food and litter until adopted
These cats are both adorable and very loving toward humans. They will m ake excellent pets, and are not suited to survival outdoors, especially in the semi urban environment in which they were found.
PS - any extra funds achieved will be donated to the local no-kill shelter.
Animal lovers know that the of spaying and neutering unhomed animals leads to less strays. However, taking care of these human-friendly, loving cats will enrich someone's home and lead to a much happier and longer life for these cats.
If you can't donate!
Please, spread the word to anyone you know who might help. I can use all the help I can get, and I really want to find forever homes for these lovely cats!
