We're 3 filmmakers who were fortunate enough to make a short film about homelessness that touched the world. Now we have the opportunity to truly take that film to the world stage. 'Mankind is no Island' was filmed for just $57, and has been selected as one of 16 global finalists to screen at the world's biggest short film festival, Tropfest Las Vegas, on June 3.
We want to go for so many reasons, for our film, for our community and for the opportunity to shine a light on homelessness in the middle of the city of indulgence, the glitzy Las Vegas strip.
What We Need & What You Get
- $3,000 is our goal, to contribute to our airfares to accompany our film to Tropfest Las Vegas
- We'll even make a short doco about the journey, especially for our funders
- 50% of any funds we raise (over our $3,000 goal) we'll distribute amongst the homeless in Las Vegas
Homelessness affects every country, every city and every town. We see Las Vegas as an important platform from which we can help create change... positive change. Helping us get there will mean we can keep the story alive, in so many ways.
