MAKE A GREEN NOISE is a long term solution to the challenges facing urban communities: decay and neglect. As a low cost, high value approach to transforming and revitalization of vacant lots through community greening, empowerment, and economic development, MAKE A GREEN NOISE! Acts as a catalyst for broader community improvements and positive public health outcomes for all who live, work, and play in the Compton Creek Watershed.
What We Need & What You Get
Adopting and managing open space that benefit the community.
MAKE A GREEN NOISE! program is committed to regular cleaning, mowing, weeding, tree planting and gardening on vacant lots. MAKE A GREEN NOISE! will offer community workshops to improve residents understanding of the value of community greeespace, lower individual carbon footprint and promote resource conservation, waste reduction and green tools that improve the health and wellness of the local community.
This fundraiser will help us start up our first 15 bed community garden! We need:
Soil, Fertilizer, Compost, raised beds, Herbs, Flowers, tools, 26" Pots, trees, Compost Bins, water irrigation system, water hose...and VOLUNTEERS!
