No seriously, we know that sometimes compitition is a good thing, so we want to give Curse a run for their money when it comes to covering Minecon 2012.
We're crowdfunding finances to send three of our staff to Minecon for the entire weekend of videos, interviews, coverage, and more.
You might not have heard about Legend Zero, so let's give you some backstory. LZ was founded in 2003 by Micahel Cassic, known as Legundo online, as a community for gamers and those who love the randomnecessities of the internet. Since they the site has grown, evolved, and undergona major shifts as we've become better at what we do. Just now we are finalizing plans to release our first game, H4Ck3rs_ TCG, which has been in development for years.
LZ has over 200 videos (spread over Two youtube channels), 10 series, and has been featured on the Bungie Blog, Minecraft Forums, and our partner websites throughout the years. (If you ever played Halo Demo Derby 2009SL in Halo 3, that was Legundo). We've grown to over 500 members, over 300,000 collective video views, and raised over $1,000 for charity. The only thing we havent had yet is our big break to become something like the big names in the digital world today. We're not trying to rule the world (yet), we're just hoping to leave our mark on it.
That's where the idea to crowdfund a trip to Minecon arose from. Thought up by Taklok, it's time for LZ to go big or go home, and make a splash in a way we have never dared to try before. Thus this campaign was born.
I know that there are those who are sick of Minecraft news coverage being a one or two horse race. Greatness is born through compitition, so we want to throw our hat in the ring and go for it. The only people who can make that happen is you, the online community.
So that's our little speach. We would greatly appreceate anything you would be willing to give, and if all goes well... we'll see you from Minecon 2012!!
