We have started the process of mixing the record and have the first single “Better get in line” completed and the video footage has been sent off to the editor! I’m excited to get to work and finish this project. YOU GUYS ROCK!!! We get by with a little help from our friends and “THE POWER OF THE PEOPLE”.
In the meantime, during this project, my appreciation of how crucial we are to each other in the process of making our goals and dreams happen has never been more prevalent, and as such, it's my joy to pay it forward by supporting my local homeless charity called B-Love for the homeless/ A Hand UP Nashville. They give out new socks to the Homeless here in Nashville and I will be donating a new pair of socks for every person that made a donation to my campaign as a way of saying thank you!
Thanks for checking out my project. There's a good chance that if you're reading this, you already know who I am. For those of you who don't, I'm a singer, songwriter and harp player and I have raucus lil' band with my partner in life, love and rock–n-roll, Al Collins pictured below.
Touring the world over the last 7 years, we have driven and flown over a hundred thousand miles, earning our road warrior stripes and meeting the most amazing people along the way. We drive hard, rock hard and play our hearts out nightly. After writing, recording and releasing three studio records on our own, we are now on a mission to rock you fully by making a LIVE record and DVD.
Armed with my amazing band "The Al-Mighty Three" featuring Al Collins on bass, Jason Graumlich on guitar and Brad Cummings on drums, we came up with a bare bones budget and plan of attack. Recording commenced on October 20th & 21st during the last leg of our "3 Chords & A Cloud Of Dust Tour" at Bootleggers, one of my favorite UK clubs. Thanks to a great crew and help from a lot of people, everything came together without a hitch and we experienced a magical night of love and music with friends from around the globe.

Highlights of the weekend include a special guest performance by my friend and guitar great
Paul Guerin from The Quireboys and a lil' boy named TJ, a few of my favorite cover songs from AC/DC to Gram Parsons, plus a BRAND NEW song called “Better Get In Line”.
OUR PLAN OF ATTACK:
Now that the tour is over we are ready to start the editing and post production work. We are hoping to raise $10,000 in 40 days to make an amazing LIVE record AND DVD to be shared, discovered and enjoyed for years to come. $10,000 is a large goal but it should meet the requirements for completing this project. If by chance we raise MORE than our goal, any money above $10,000 will go toward proper promotion, 2013 tour support and new merchandise... all the stuff that goes into making a record release and tour a success!
Here's a peek at some of the costs involved for this project:
- Audio & Video Recording Crew and Equipment
- Travel Expenses
- Post production
- Studio Time
- Producing
- Engineering
- Mixing
- Mastering
- Hard Drives
- Graphics and Artwork
- Manufacturing
- Promotion
- Songwriter Royalties
- Indiegogo fees (4%-9%)
- Perk Rewards
As you can see the costs add up fast! The money we raise will NOT go into our pockets but rather into the pockets of the awesome people that work with us, play with us and help us GoGo. If we do really good, maybe Al can finally get paid too!
SO HOW CAN YOU HELP?
More than a pre-sale, we have set up some unique and exclusive "Thank You" perks at every level of donation, including stuff I will personally hand make. You can also choose to become a sponsor and have your name and face appear in the DVD credits. More perks will be added as we go along and you will have exclusive access to our updates (videos, photos, blogs etc.) during the post production process and beyond.

Not "waiting for permission" to rock has taken us on wonderful journey and so many of you have been an integral part of that! Whether we met you at a concert, or we've known you for years, you guys are so important to us and our ability to do what we do. You have helped carry us to where we are today and I am grateful. I know this is a tall order and 40 days is not that long, but I've always been a dreamer. "We get by with a little help from our friends" so if you're inclined to help, we would really love for you to be apart of this project and become a benefactor of independent music.
