Short Summary
Ted's Fishing Station is a family owned and operated business located on the south shore of Long Island, NY. It was recently destroyed by hurricane Sandy. It is owned and operated by Sue and Ted Wondsel, two extraordinary people, who see Ted's as much more than a business. In their eyes, they see a place that instantly puts a smile on the face of all who visit. It is a place where people of all kinds go to rent boats, let their kids play on the beach, kick back and have a beer and much more. Ted's is a place where great memories are made, and Sue and Ted would love to keep the memories coming, but they need your help, rebuilding their great establishment. Insurance money is minimal and will not be enought to bring Ted's back to its former glory, so let's do our part and help Sue and Ted in their time of need.
What We Need & What You Get
The storm destroyed almost everything at Ted's. In order to get up and running again the business will need many things, such as:
lumber to rebuild docks
engines and parts for rental boats
building materials, to restore, or rebuild buildings if they cannot be saved
fridges and freezers
and much more
The Impact
By contributing to help rebuild Ted's, you will have the satisfaction of contributing to the resurection of a beloved family business that people of all walks of life, love to frequent. When Ted's is rebuilt you will be able to visit and see what a great deed you have done. There will be kids on the beach; swimming, playing volleyball, and collecting crabs. There will be a family getting to go fishing for the first time, on one of the little rental boats. There will be people from all over congregating at the bar, (The Shell Shack) and on the deck. Finally, there will be people with smiles on their faces, hopefully you will be one of them.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can't donate money please help Ted's by spreading the word about this cause, or by going down to Ted's and lending a hand. All of your help will be greatly apperciated!
