SAVE BUCK DOWN'S HAND!

Buck’s hand isn’t working so great- wondering if you can lend one?

Backstory:

Several years ago, Mutaytor, guitar player and front man Buck Down was diagnosed with acute carpal tunnel constriction in his left hand. Physical therapy provided little help and now 4 years later, the problem has gotten significantly worse, and is now on the verge of permanent nerve damage. He currently has little to no sensation in about 40%  of his left hand, is in constant pain and if left untreated much longer, will effectively end his career as a professional musician.

Sounds pretty bad right?  But wait – there’s a solution!

Solution:

There is a surgery which could save his hand called endoscopic carpal tunnel release (you can see a broader explanation of the process at http://www.handandwristinstitute.com/carpal-tunnel-release-surgery-los-angeles/) The cost of this surgery is $5000, and our health insurance covers NONE of this.  As a traveling independent entertainer, and new father - this cost is simply unaffordable at the moment. Unfortunately, time is of the essence, as each day that goes by threatens to make the long term consequences of inaction more dangerous.

If left untreated he will lose some function of his left hand. This isn’t just career ending but as a father of a very active little boy – Milo needs a dad who can go out an play ball with him, teach him ukelele and all sorts of awesome things that a working hand is needed for.

This has come at a very difficult time as earlier this year time was taken off to welcome his new son into the world and of course there was quite a bit of extra expenses associated with the birth of Milo.

Lend a Hand?

We are reaching out to the community to help donate whatever you can afford to help cover the cost of this much needed surgical procedure.  Buck has saved up enough money for the initial procedures but not enough to cover the surgery.

Even the smallest amount helps get him to his goal.

Thank you in advance.
