Short Summary

"Lane and Russell" takes a peek into the world of two odd friends. Lane is a borderline sociopath who, ironically, doesn't even possess practical daily skills. He relies on his best friend, Russell, to drive him to work and do everything else for him. However, he constantly abuses Russell, who - despite an obvious lack of social skills - can always evenly go with the flow. He has a unique ability to go along with everything. Despite their great differences, they have been best friends since grade school. Life has its strange ways of testing how their friendship will survive when life as they know it changes. When the Viper Girls, the world's most elite female bowling team, stop through at the alley they work at, the duo's world is flipped upside down. This film grabs the hilarity of "Napoleon Dynamite," the heart of "Forrest Gump," and the humorous absurdity of "Dumb and Dumber."

Why We Need Your Help

In order for this film to be successful, we need your help to secure the needed additional funding. The money raised will help go into the production cost of several things:

• Equipment Rentals, such as a RED camera, 3 ton grip truck, lighting package, Steadicam, sound equipment, etc. 
• Travel Reimbursement for cast and crew coming from several different larger cities, etc.
• Cast and Crew Accomodations, such as food, hotel, etc.

The expenses of a large cast/crew film add up quickly  but will be well worth it as we bring this unique world of "Lane and Russell" to life.  An extensive pre-production process consisting of high production value has been completed so far. Your contributions will go towards helping us complete the production and post-production of the film.

Why You Should Help

"Lane and Russell" is going to be a short film, but we believe that, in that short span of time, these two characters will endear themselves to you with their weirdness, humor, and strong bond of friendship. They were born almost ten years ago for pure laughs when two friends in college decided to do a little improv. Over the years, Lane and Rusell have become well-developed characters who really need to have their story told, and we believe you will love their story.
