Hey Planet Earth, we're RIE STUDIOS, creators of Komodo Crunchtime Ultimate Superstars; a four-player platformer for Mac OSX, PC and Linux.
We feel there just aren't many games where you can play with your little sisters or brothers sitting next to you playing along with you. Something fun for everyone, of ALL ages. We want people to play together both offline and off.
What is Komodo Crunchtime?
Run jump, fly, scratch and clobber baddies, while collecting wacky and twisted power-ups. You'll have to move quickly because the clock is always counting down! Komodo Crunchtime mixes intense aerial action with fun and frantic platforming inspired by the 1990s mascot golden-era of gaming.
That's why we're making Komodo Crunchtime. Each level is totally bizarre and challenging, from Pirate's Reef, to 1980's cassettes-and-morphing-robots laden Burning Boombox; this is action adventure with something for every generation.
Komodo Crunchtime is all about challenging friends, or teaming-up with them, online and offline, in a cool adventure as you travel through colourful worlds taking down fearsome bosses.

Who are we?
We're a four person team - students and graduates of the University of the Arts London with oodles of passion and ideas. We've made some small games for the web (check 'em out) for a while now but this by far our most ambitious project yet. That's why we're asking to help Komodo Crunchtime see an International release!
Why are we doing this?
We felt it was time for 4-player multiplayer to make it's return with a new female mascot for the 21st Century. A hero who could stand toe-to-toe with Mario, Sonic in terms of fun but still feel fresh.
In the heart of Soho, London we have been working hard quietly occupying the desks at Ukie HQ. Week after week we pour everything we have into the project to create something enchanting, inspiring and intuitive to play but without your help, this project may not see a release. If you've seen Indie Game The Movie, then yeah, we can relate to that!
We have no external funding, no publishers, we're doing this all on our own - and we have no intention of stopping! That's why we need your help.
We're big fans of fighting games and we know good character design when we see one. Skullomania is just too cool for school. Jay's wanted to see him return for nearly a decade! So we've done it on our own by teaming up with Arika, makers of Street Fighter EX! Once a down-on-his-luck salary man turned into self-appointed super-hero, he was a firm favourite to be in a game as frantic and wacky as this!
Summary of our goals
- Goal #1 is to make a multiplayer game which you can play with your friends sister, brother, kids, parents and the stranger down the street. Something enjoyable for everyone. Something fresh, fun and inclusive.
- Goal #2 is to enable quick, easy-to-access updates to the games and (as a stretch goal) user created stages.
- Goal #3 is to bring this game to as many devices as possible, including the Ouya, smartphones and tablets.
