Hello and thank you for sparing me a few moments of your time to read my story
In November of 2008, my husband and I moved to Texas.
May 2009, my husband and I were painting a house and I fell off a ladder hurting my spine.
A couple of weeks later I went to a follow up appointment with a female doctor who asked me if I ever had a mammogram. She set one up for the following week.
Two weeks later, that doctor called me with the news that I had breast cancer of a rare and very aggressive form.
The doctors did not tell me until a year later that they did not expect me to live more than three months.
My husband upon hearing the news told me that he could not handle the "C" word and therefore was not returning to our apartment EVER.
Needless to say, he left me alone in an apartment that I could not afford much less utilities, cable, food etc.
Thanks to my doctors, I began receiving disability income shortly thereafter and the women of my church flocked around me like a bunch of mother hens. They took me to appointments and made sure I had shampoo, toilet paper, etc.
After a year of struggling, with no family or friends I finally moved into a HUD property and was able to pay my few bills with some ease.
THEN- Child Support Enforcement froze my bank account and attached my Disability Income by 60% because I was unable to pay the last two years of child support payments.
In spite of all this, I trusted the Lord to take care of me and supply all I needed to survive.
I was cancer free for about 8 months and then the cancer came back STAGE 4 and I was told to go home to be with my family because I was considered incurable.
Although my doctor states that there is a treatment that can be used to help me but it is expensive and has to be obtained from Germany.
I am staying with my mother now, bless her heart, but my family does not have the means or the resources with which to finance this medication or anything else.
Please be a doll and help me in any way you can and may God bless you immensely.
I also feel the need to help other women like me whose HUSBANDS LEFT them in their time of need by starting a foundation for them. Of all the foundations out there, not one was able to help me.
So please be real sweet and help me twice,
With Sincerest Thanks,Kimberly Ingram
