What is Killing June?
Killing June is a short film we've been working on for 3 years. It is the collaborative effort of two close friends to make an audience laugh, cry, and wonder. Multiple times we have set the project aside because the size and scope intimidates us. But this is the year our concept and story comes to life. Unfortunately both of us are artists and don't make very much money. We are asking for funds to cover the overall expenses of the film and to support ourselves while we leave our day jobs to rest.
While we don't want to give anything away, we would like you to know what you are paying for.
Edwin has left his past behind and hopped a train to Seattle in search of work. Upon meeting June, a curious young woman with a notebook of secrets, he is swept up in a whirlwind of new ideas, strange missions, and moral dilemmas. When June asks Edwin to help her with one last task, he is forced to go against his own beliefs to help his only friend in the world, or deny her of the only thing she has ever wanted in life.
