We recently saw a movie about the epic bullying problem occurring in schools everywhere. It really affected us in a big way. One of our band members is a victim of being bullied and others have witnessed it at school. We got together and decided to try and help the best way we could.
With the help of our band director, we wrote, performed and recorded an original song called "We Like To Watch". The song is written from the perspective of the kids who stand around, watch, and do nothing to help. In our opinion, they're just as bad as the bullies. Then, with the help of our classmates and friends, we made a video for the song. Although we havent officially released the song and video yet, they're starting to get attention!
Now we want to get the message out there. We're going on a tour of middle schools nationwide in order to create awareness about the bullying problem and promote discussions which hopefully will create solutions. We hope that the students, teachers, and administrators at the schools we visit adopt guidelines on how to properly deal with the problem. So far, whatever schools have been doing... it 'aint working!
About The Program
With help from various sources, we will create a 45 minute assembly, which may include:
- Questions and answers with students, teachers, and administrators
- Guest speakers
- Movie clips and discussion
- Band performance
- Distribution of educational materials
We will bring the assembly through a number of middle schools in various parts of the country. (At this time we don't know how many schools, the routing/booking process takes a long time! We're shooting for 50 schools, reaching approximately 1,000 kids at each school, but that will depend on the funding).
We hope that when we leave each school, students and administrators have a better sense of how to deal with the problem and continue to search for an effective solution. We hope you'll agree with us when we say that 13 million kids should not have to go to school in fear!
Hey - that's a lot of money you're asking for... Where's it all going?
Yes, it is a lot of money! But this is what we have been told a tour like this is going to need. The money will go to things like:
- Tour Bus
- Gas
- Food
- Insurance
- Educational Materials
- Hotels
- Studio Teacher
Our band BREAKING 27 will make absolutely no profit on this tour. All money collected will go to funding the tour.

Who Are We?
We are BREAKING 27. We're a rock/pop band consisting of 5 kids aged 11-13 from Southern California. We've been together for approximately 3 years and have played many gigs, including several famous clubs on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. "We Like To Watch" is our 5th original song. We hope to eventually create enough songs to release our first CD, as well as champion other causes we feel strongly about.

Thank you!
With a little help from a lot of people, this school tour can happen! Thanks for considering helping us solve this problem once and for all. It's cool to think that in our own small way we may be able to make a big difference!
