Short Summary
Keokuk Dragway will ressurect the existing Lee Country Dragway and provide an economic boost to the area. This fundraiser's end state goal is to raise enough money to purchase the land and increase viability to potential investors. Keokuk Dragway will use this money as seed capital needed to obtain additional funding needed to complete the project. Southeast Iowa, West-central Illinois, and Northeastern Missouri deserves to have a local drag strip/racing venue, and Keokuk Dragway will provide that!
What We Need & What You Get
Keokuk Dragway needs "seed capital" or initial funds needed to start a new business and purchase the property at 2500 Johnson Street Road in Keokuk, Iowa. After the land is purchased, Keokuk Dragway will use the land as collateral to obtain additional funds needed to re-build the dragway and operate it for the first year. By contributing to this cause, you are contributing to the past, present, and future of safe and legal drag racing in the area, as well as the economic welfare of Southeast Iowa.
The Impact
The Keokuk Dragway will provide surrounding communities with positive entertainment as well as provide local drag racers a medium for which they can come together and share in their love of the sport. Keokuk Dragway will be a vital piece of the convention and tourism in the area which will enhance the local economy by attracting other new businesses as well as benefiting the current businesses in place in the area.
