To all my old and new friends and my family,

I just wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for making the benefit a night I will never forget. It will go a long way towards helping me in my journey to good health.

Croz, James, Shane, Sam, Peter, Marty, Kevin, Donny, Prairie, Chris, Pete, David, Diana, Darby, Alex, Keith, Randy, Bobby, Joe McDonald and anyone else I am forgetting, having you guys all on stage with me was one of the highlights of my career. I will remember it the rest of my life and I love each and every one of you.

I want to thank Steve Keyser, Paul Lamb, John Murray, D John, and Rick for making everything run nice and smooth. As well as the entire crew at the GAMH. Special love goes out to Dawn Holiday and Dana Smith, who without your generosity and love, we could not have done this. I am so blessed that you two were involved. And thank you so much to Polly Freiberg and, Jessica Freiberg Merz (the Freiberg twins), who came up with some great ideas and worked tirelessly towards making this evening a complete success. And a big thank you to Cathy Richardson, who had some great ideas for the website and fundraising and continues to figure out ways to help me get through this.

There is one person who I have been saving for last. Cynthia Bowman, whose dream of trying to set up a benefit to help me turned into reality and for this, I will be forever grateful. Without her dedication and total commitment to helping me, the benefit would never have happened. I cannot imagine the countless hours she put in to make this benefit run smoothly and there is no way I can thank her enough. Cynthia-you are one of a kind and I love you so much. I will never be able to repay you for all you did for me.

And of course, I want to thank my family for standing by me. Mark, Krissy, Cassidy, and Kris. Thank you for being there for me and taking care of me. You have no idea how much it meant. And Maureen, I wish you had been with me last weekend, but you know that without you, I could never get through this ordeal.

And last but not least, how can I possibly thank all of my friends and fans who came out to the show to support me and see a wonderful night of music. I will never be able to thank you enough. Hopefully I will be able to come back next year and play for you all again.

You all know I love you beyond words and thank you all again, Slick

Friends,

I just wanted to update everyone on my condition. I now have a great doctor at Mt Sinai who is helping me finalize getting accepted at the transplant centers at a number of hospitals along the east coast. The process is taking a great deal of time, but that is normal. I am doing Ok and just wanted to thank each and every one of you for your kind calls, letters, emails, and Facebook messages. I’m sorry if I can’t reply back to you all, but my medical issues are taking up most of my time and energy. I do appreciate everyone’s support though and love you all. Hope to get back playing for you guys in the near future.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who bought a guitar raffle ticket by donating to my medical fund. You have no idea how much every bit helps me with my medical bills.

Bless you all & thanks again, Slick

Hey,

I just wanted to say thank you so much to everyone who have bought tickets to my benefit at GAMH. It should be quite a show & I hear tickets are selling fast.

You all have no idea how much this benefit will help me in my search for a new liver and eventually my search for good health.

Anyway, everything is still going as planned in this process. All I can do is carry on the best I can.

Thanks again from the bottom of my heart. Crosby and Marty-you guys are saints! BBHC and Country Joe-I can’t thank you enough. Dawn and Dana-you guys are best. And without Cynthia Bowman, none of this would have been possible. A million thanks to you.
