What is Ingeo?
Ingeo is a product that turns your Android phone into a real game console.
Ingeo consists of a dock and a game controller. Drop your phone into the Ingeo Dock and it instantly connects to your TV. Grab the Ingeo Controller and press the Home button to launch Ingeo app for game selection. Select a game and start playing. When you are done just pick up your phone from the dock.

We will provide a free Ingeo Game Center app. You can easily find and browse games supported by Ingeo and download them from Google Play.

We understand there are many phones with different sizes and micro USB layouts. Our design allows docking of virtually all smartphones that are available on the market. Ingeo Dock works with phone cases as long as Micro USB port is exposed.
We also understand docking and undocking need to be made easy. Our unique design makes it as simple as dropping your phone into the dock and picking it up.
The dock has an HDMI and a USB port. You can use the USB port to connect a keyboard and a mouse, access flash drives, or other peripherals. Simultaneous HDMI and USB usage supported on Samsung devices only. And yes, the dock is a charger as well.
Starting from 2011, virtually all Android smartphones support either MHL or Slimport standard for HDMI output. Our dock supports all HDMI enabled phones, including standard MHL (5pin), Galaxy S3/S4 MHL (11pin), and Slimport interfaces using modular connectors.
Our controller is designed in collaboration with David Hansson. It features a beautiful angular style, making it stand out from the pack.
The controller has a standard set of buttons, force feedback motors, and a built-in accelerometer. You will be able to control games by tilting the controller with games like Temple Run.

Our controller also allows you to dock your phone directly on it. You can enjoy the same games in a car, on an airplane, or anywhere you go.
Every backer will receive a dock marked with “Funder Edition” on its top. We guarantee that every backer will receive their Ingeo before it is available in retail.
We also offer Ingeo with a special exterior design and color exclusively to Indiegogo backers. This option is only available during this Indiegogo campaign and will not be available in retail.
For Game Developers
If your game supports standard controllers it should work with Ingeo right away. We provide an optional SDK. You can take advantage of non-standard features of our controller by using our SDK.
You submit your games to Google Play as usual. Just let us know that your game supports Ingeo and we will include it in Ingeo Game Center for free.
Ingeo gives your games access into living rooms and gives customers more opportunities to play them.
Where We Are At
Our prototype shown in the video is, of course, not of the final production quality. We used 3D printing to manufacture the main parts of the dock and controller. The final product will be manufactured using molds and the exterior will be coated to enhance tactile perception and aesthetic appearance. In the end it will look even better than the concept art!
Our current dock prototype has circuitry to support standard MHL 5pin and Samsung MHL 11pin connectors and is capable of transferring video to an HDTV.
We are working on the interface for the modular Micro USB port with Slimport support. The final product will support all MHL and Slimport enabled phones.
We are practically done with the industrial design of the dock. Our expandable design will allows adjustment to the dock in order to fit phones with any sizes and orientations perfectly. The final product will require a one-time setup for the specific phone and will have a button to lock the configuration.
Ingeo controller is at a stage of perfecting exterior design. We take this stage very seriously and do not make any compromises. We want Ingeo controller to be the best controller you've put your hands on!
We still need to go through a round of a controller circuit board design. Our company has 3 very experienced electrical engineers with lots of shipped projects under their belt that will be doing this job.
Substantial progress is made in developing Ingeo Game Center app. We are virtually done with art, layouts, and app architecture. The rest of the app development will be led by Aleksey, the Co-Founder of Ingeonix. He is our guru when it comes to software and has 15 years of software development experience.
According to our development plan the first development units will be shipped in January 2014. We are going to start delivery to backers in early March or 4 months after our Indiegogo campaign ends.
We established relationship with hardware manufacturers through our previous products development. We are planning to utilize these connections in Ingeo production as well.
How are we going to use your money
We need your support to push this idea to the market. The money we gather here will be used for:
- Finalizing industrial and circuit design.
- FCC and other regulatory approvals.
- We want to achieve our ambitious price goal by making bulk parts preorders.
- Manufacturing process (assembly setup, packaging, shipping).
Who We Are
Ingeonix is a company founded by Yanning Zhu and Aleksey Fadeev in 2011.
We specialize in input controllers for computing devices. We have developed a device called VirTouch-R which allows finger tracking and gesture recognition to interact with computing devices. We also developed VirTouch-K an interactive body gesture controlled system based on MS Kinect body sensor.

Risks and challenges
Our team has recently completed the entire production cycle of VirTouch-R, a finger-tracking device that allows users to control computers with gestures. Given the team's track record and the fact that we have moved quite far into the development of Ingeo, we believe there is no risk in completion of product design. Based on the experience we have learned from manufacturing our previous products, we also think there is no risk in producing the final product in bulk and delivering them to you.
There is chance that the delivery of the product will be delayed. There are factors in the manufacturing process that are sometimes out of our control. For example, the number of iterations in fine tuning the product to pass our quality assurance tests and the availability of parts. If delay occurs, we will clearly communicate the reason and expected delay duration to you. Based on our experience, the overall delay should be no longer than one to two months.
