Hurricane Sandy Relief Fundraiser

Hello all,

The last few days for Rhode Island and all along the east coast can best be summed up as devastating and eye opening. Several million people still several days after the storm still have no electricity and even worse still have not been able to visit their homes in evacuated areas. Homes have been destroyed, biz's have been flooded, lives have been lost, and millions of people need to be reminded now more then ever that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

The Newport Buzz Team & The Face Show are launching this fundraising campaign and hosting a fundraiser in an effort to call on our community to come together and do our part to give back to all those who lost so much and hopefully give them HOPE.

You can donate to the fundraiser right here on the site and/or at the fundraiser at Newport Blues Cafe on November 11th. Donations must be received on-line by 11/16.

THE EVENT

November 11th- Hurrican Sandy Relief Fundraiser

• Location: Newport Blues Cafe
• Time: STARTING AT 2PM!
• Details:
  • A few hours of the event will be family friendly!
  • There is not a set donation/admission fee, donate what you can!
  • Silent Auction & Raffles.

OUR IMPACT

All contributions on-line and at our November 11th Fundraiser will benefit the following orginizations that are working hard to get those touched by Hurricane Sandy back on their feet:

50% of proceeds will support Rhode Island Relief Efforts

50% of proceeds will help the Relief Efforts in NY, NJ, and other states.

• American Red Cross
  • All donations will provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to those affected by the storm.
• Rhode Island Food Bank
  • Many people in Rhode Island lost their food due to no electricity and from flooding. Many people don't have the means to properly feed their family or themselves. The Rhode Island Food Bank provides food for whoever is in need.
Feeding America
• Feeding America is providing food, water and other supplies to those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
