As a local business owner and resident in Hoboken, NJ, I witnessed hurricane Sandy come through Hoboken and tear apart my community overnight. Many residents and businesses suffered unimagineable losses. People with homes are now left with nothing, popular local businesses are now gone and will not be returning to town or are still closed and rebuilding, civic associations in town that once was a popular spot for kids to go after school is now ruined and the children have nowhere to go. The devestation is beyond words.
I created Ho Ho Ho 4 Hoboken to act as the official Santa Claus Day in Hoboken. The purpose of the day is to raise money for Rebuiild Hoboken which will be able to use the funds to help people that have nothing, have something, and at the same time allow people from local and abroad to come and eat, drink and shop all over Hoboken and patronize local businesses that really need you support right now. Many local business in Hoboken today have had to reach into their own pockets and pay for costs to get back on their feet. Local sales has never been more crucial for so many in Hoboken.
On Decemebr 22nd from 2pm - 9pm Ho Ho Ho for Hoboken is open to everyone, young children to grandmas and grandpas. It's a Santacon of sorts. Every business in Hoboken that wants to particapate may, this is not a bar crawl, th is is a city wide SHOP EAT AND DRINK spectacular. Go ahead and don your Santa suits if you want, or keep it low key and come as you are, either way it's all to support the rebuilding of Hoboken and to give much needed business to business in town.
You can participate and have access to all the specials for free. Every business in town that is participating will have specials for all of you if youre wearing your wristbands which can be picked up 12-22-12 at both The Madison and Black Bear. You can buy cool offers from local businesses on this page too, 100% of the $$$ from bought items goes to rebuildhoboken.org
We are also asking Santacon goers from all over the world to help Hoboken rebuild by purchasing Hoboken a virtual "Shot of Love" for just $5. Your $5 donation will all go to rebuildhoboken.org and will help make us bigger, better and stronger as a community. We ask that if you are attending a Santacon event outside of Hoboken, to please take the time now to help Hoboken, NJ out rather than have 1 extra drink at your event.
