Hello. I'm Josh Coppenbarger and I'm a filmmaker in St. Louis, Missouri.
The documentary Heroes, Villains and an Arch will focus on the comic book culture of St. Louis and its influence its had on the city as well as the comic book industry.
The idea came to me several months ago when I was thinking about one of the reasons why I love comic books. The St. Louis community is strong and we're all connected by the thigns we love. There are some great stores around the city such as the chain store Fantasy Shop and the Eisner-winning retailer Star Clipper.
St. Louis will also be visited by Wizard World on March 22-24 when they host the comic book convention in Downtown St. Louis. We're going to be using the convention as a backdrop to help tell our story.
We're hoping to have the project completed by the end of summer 2013 to be sent off to film festivals such as the St. Louis International Film Festival.

What We Need & What You Get
We are raising $7,000 to complete the project. The money will all go towards produciton and post-production costs. This includes:
- Film equipment rental
- Travel expenses
- And more
Without the money, we won't be able to adequately make the film as great as it can be. Even if the donation is small, it still matters a lot of us. Your contributions will help give us the opportunity to tell this wonderful story and share it with the world.
Other Ways You Can Help
Please help spread the word around about the project. Even if you can't donate, spreading the word around will help gain more publicity and potential donators.
