This July, hundreds of young leaders are coming together to get real about system change.
In communities and on campuses, young people are refusing to succumb to fatalism. We’re voicing our discontent. We’re saying “no” to outdated thinking, ecological destruction and structural violence. We’re getting organized, but we’re also innovating, finding new ways to understand our situation, meet our collective needs, express our creativity, and uphold our values.
On July 19-21, the New Economics Institute is hosting a convergence in New York City called reRoute: Building Youth and Student Power for a New Economy. The idea is to bring together a diverse new generation of practitioners and organizers from across the US and Canada to share strategies, tools, and stories about our work creating a solidarity economy from the ground up in our communities and on our campuses.
We can't do it without your help. Here's what your contribution will go toward:
Travel and housing scholarships.
Our goal is to make reRoute accessible to any young person who wants to attend, regardless of their financial means. This is what this fundaraising campaign is all about!
Any dollar we raise more than what we need for scholarships will go toward event expenses. Tickets to reRoute are pay-what-you-can-afford, so we need to raise additional funds to cover other costs that won't be recouped through ticket sales.
