Help Us to Get Safe and Warm

My name is Chester Wallace, "Gene", my wife is Diane and we live in an older motorhome with our two cats, Lady Ghost Whispurr and Wileykat. I am retired and we live off of my Social Security payments with a small amount of income from our on-line work. We have been RV Living and travelling for 15 months.

We are now in a crisis situation and need your support. We were returning to Lawrence, KS, our starting point, from Diane's childhood home of Copper Harbor, MI, after visiting my daughter and her family in NC. Due to our low finances, we travel on my paydays for about 200 - 300 miles a month and stay in inexpensive campgrounds for a month.

We returned to Lawrence to get our RV registration changed and for Diane to see the her previous doctor to renew her prescriptions. Just as we approached Lawrence, KS, the transmission in the RV stopped working. It was in the garage for 8 days. We spent the first night in the RV connected to the garage's A/C power. The next day, we moved us and our kitties into a motel. I had to get a signature loan to pay for the repairs and our expences from the Credit Union that had our RV loan. Luckily, they are located in Lawrence, KS The cost of the repairs were a bit more than the estimate and I had to promise part of the motel payment for my next paycheck.
We had planned to spend a month in the State Park outside of Lawrence. When we arrived at the park, the evening the RV repairs were complete, we found that the park fees were much higher than we had believed.

We were almost homeless in Lawrence, if we had not gotten the loan.

We are now in a situation where Winter has arrived and we don't have the money for propane to continue to heat the Motorhome for the entire time we are here. We keep the temperature at 55F inside. That keeps the fresh water and waste tanks from freezing and bursting. We have two small space heaters and an electric blanket to keep us somewhat warm.

If we don't get help with the money for propane, we will be our of our RV Home and lose everything we have, including most of our belongings and the two kitties.

And, we will not have money for Diane to see the doctor and get her prescriptions renewed.

We are asking for Your kind donations which will be very appreciated.

We are asking for a $500 Goal

To Pay for the propane we need for heat

To keep us warm.

To protect the RV's water and waste tanks from damage.

To pay for Diane's doctor visit and medicines

Any funds received above the goal amount will be used to pay the remainder of the motel bill and to help us get farther South, out of the cold weather.

We can not give Perks as this is a need for survival.
