HI, we're time and distance.
we are a rock band from charleston, west virginia, started in 2002. what started out as an acoustic solo project has over the years morphed into a full band, and we've been fortunate enough to be able to release some records, tour all over the country, and spread our music to people all over the world.
we've always gone into making a record with some kind of support behind us financially, but for the first time we are going at it all on our own, all from our own pockets. unfortunately, due to touring / merchandise for touring / regular non-band life, we've found our pockets to be a little bit more empty than we'd like for them to be.
so, we have decided to launch a fundraising campaign over at the website Indiegogo to help us cover some of our remaining costs going into making the record. the money that we are trying to raise is not even half of our actual costs for this record, but it IS the half that we're having trouble coming up with.. this is where you come in, and it brings us to the fun part of this bit that is slowly turning into a sob story..

we've spent a lot of time thinking out cool incentives in return for your pledges, and so we're looking at this as a bit of a pre-order for the record as well. you can get everything from an early digital download of the record, to a vinyl record in a an exclusive color that's only available to project backers, to a day trip / tour of our fine hometown of charleston, west virginia, all the way up to instruments we use on the record or a private show for you & your friends.. a lot of the packages are also going to come with limited (as in only one copy of each one) photo prints from pictures we take while making the record. we hope that you'll see something there you'd actually really like to have, and not just us asking you for money.
this band has done more than any of us ever imagined over the years, and it just keeps getting better. unfortunately, being in an independent band, touring full time, with no financial backing in this economy is only getting harder, and we just don't know how or have any desire to stop touring, meeting people, playing shows, and spreading our music around to anyone whos interested in it. we are forever grateful to everyone of you reading this, whether you're able to help us out with a donation or not. just helping to spread the word about this project or our band means the world to us.
either way, we'll be recording this new record (we start next week!!!) and releasing it in some fashion, but we need your help to be able to do it the way we've envisioned it, and to promote so that people are aware it exists. anything we happen to raise over our target amount will go into more album costs: promotion, mastering, art, production, etc etc etc, as well as into our touring fund for all the touring we plan to be doing in the next year.
