Who are we?
We are the German Women's National Lacrosse Team and we're playing at the World Lacrosse Championships this July! We're composed of 18 dedicated and fun-loving players and 6 hard-working staff members.
We have been working together for the past year to get where we are now, meeting once a month for rigorous tryouts and training camps and now all of our hard work has paid off. It's a dream come true for every player to have the chance to compete at this level and experience international competition. It will undoubtedly allow each one of us to improve and bring something back to our club teams in Germany.
What We Need & What You Get
However, the costs of a transatlantic trip and an international sporting event are extraordinarily high. It's estimated that each player will have to pay about 6,000 Euros, or $7,800. Therefore, we're trying to offset some of our costs and YOU can help us! Here's an idea of what each player has to pay for:
- $1,400 for a round trip flight between Frankfurt and Toronto
- $2000+ for 3 weeks accommodation, food, and shuttle to and from the fields
- $300 Team Gear and Uniforms
Since lacrosse isn't as well established in Germany as in most English-speaking countries, we don't get sponsored by any big sports companies and the German Lacrosse Association doesn't have money to spare. We've already invested countless hours of practice, sprints, and wall balls, and countless dollars to get ourselves to and from training camps. Not to mention our fantastic coaches and staff, who do everything for free!

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the world- let's keep it that way! Germany has the largest lacrosse league in mainland Europe and by supporting the national team you support the growth of the game and make it possible for kids and students to have something to work towards.
We want every player in Germany, regardless of financial status, to have a chance to compete at the highest level possible.
