Hello,
My name is Paolo. I am 37 years old and i have been living in a basement apartment for the past 9 years. When i was 18 i quickly ruined my credit. I am a welder/shipfitter by trade and in 2008 i lost my job. In March of 2012 i ran into an old friend and he offered me a job as a contractor. I am on a 1099 tax form which means i must put aside a portion of my pay every week to pay taxes on the money i earn. I've slowly started to repair my credit but unfortunately i have only managed to save $1000 towards a down payment on a house, i try to add to that every week.
The house i basically fell in love with is a modest 900 sq ft on a 4000 sq. ft. lot and the asking price is $159,000. I plan to offer somewhere around $120,000 and take it from there. The house was purchased earlier this year for $65,000 and it looks to have around $20,000 of work put into it. The picture you see is the actual home. Isn't it great?!
I am seeking help for a down payment because i fear it is just a goal i couldn't reach without some help. With the price of houses on the rise again i also fear if i don't strike soon i will miss out on ever owning a piece of the American dream. Any amount is greatly appreciated and would go a long way. If you're not able or willing to donate that is perfectly ok and would only ask for you to pass along my story and thank you for taking the time out of your day reading this.
Help make my first home purchase my last!
With Hope,
Paolo.
