STORY TIME

Joanna Makes A Friend (JMAF) is about a little girl’s struggle to fit in at school.  Joanna has slightly odd tastes for her age, so the kids at school tease her.  She wants desperately to make a friend so she takes matters into her own hands and builds a robot friend out of spare Betamax VCR parts in the garage.  She christens him Edgar Allen Poe-bot, or EAP for short.  EAP becomes so popular that he no longer wants to hang out with poor Joanna, thus forcing her to face her fears, come out of her shell, and make a real friend.

WHO WE ARE

A team of creative film people; writer (Ben) and director (Jeremy) have been friends since high school.  The story is the 2010 MPPIA contest pitch winner with a guaranteed premiere at the 2011 Whistler Film Festival.

THE ROBOT SITUATION

We are looking for your pledges to help build EAP - The Ultimate Robot Friend!  We’ve gathered our team of specialists to help, but they need materials, equipment and custom parts to make it happen.  More precisely, expensive parts.  This is why we're here asking for your help.  EAP needs to look his amazingly technical best.  If you’ve ever dreamed of being a part of some movie magic or maybe building the coolest robot ever - This is the opportunity you can’t let go.

Can I use my credit card?

Yes.

Is my pledge amount publicly displayed?

No. Only you and the filmmakers can see the amount.

What if I don’t want an incentive, I just want to support the movie!?

No problem, there is a button that you can select if you don’t want the reward.

Who does the money go to?

The money will be spent building EAP the robot character for the film.  

I live overseas. can I still pledge money?
