THANK YOU, AND KEEP GIVING!
REMEMBER: our online goal is $10,000 but our overall goal is $20,000. Let's keep going to give Ayah and her daughters a chance at life. This site will keep accepting your donations until Jan. 9.
Short SummaryMy name is Maryam and I am a Syrian American with the majority of my family still in Syria. I started this campaign because a dear friend of mine, Ayah,* has been widowed and left alone with four orphaned girls and pregnant. She needs a roof over her head and I believe we can help her and her orphaned daughters.
A young family in Daraa, Syria was devastated on September 27th, 2012 when soldiers from the dictator Bashar Al-Assad's regime hunted and gunned down a young father whose only crime was attending protests against the regime. He left behind a pregnant widow, Ayah, and four young orphaned girls. The widow and orphan girls have nowhere to live. All their savings were diminished during the past year. The family had not been able to work because of the civil unrest in the country. Many times it was too dangerous to leave the house.
The total human toll has been heavy in Syria. This is a real Syrian family that is in immediate and desperate need. And we can help. So, let's help get this orphaned family a roof over their head!
ImpactYour donation helps save the lives of six people. If we are able to achieve our goal, we will be able to get a shelter and food for four young orphaned girls in Syria and their pregnant widowed mother. You will have saved the lives of this family and give them a safe place to live while the country rages in civil unrest.
What We NeedOur goal is to raise $20,000 for the family to find safe housing in Syria. We will start our campaign at $10,000 and hope we can reach $20,000.
We will keep campaigning until we reach our goal and find a safe place to live for Ayah and her family!
